What Have I Been Doing Since Last Entry

Today,more of same, remove my gear out of second bedroom, this time the Computer, table and old one off floor, Not yet dumped it, or what we supposed to do, recycle.
Now we are just outside the larger bedroom in corner, so very necessary to use a fan.
Temperature on the dividing wall is 100%faranhide, the old scale, on the dot and time here in Qld Australia, is 3.17pm by my computer Clock.

I may get a visit from DIL shortly, but maybe not, as she is minding Children for a friend, 'in the Shed.' Sunday supposed to be their last day 'in the shed,' where the old shed is better for residing in than the delapadated residents, they tried to pass as a 'house,' or 'home.' Now DIL does not forbid me to post re what they are doing, just no pics of the children, or where we exactly live.

I cannot depend on friends or family not to be hypricitial, or critical of my blogging, so here we are, not my real, real name, nor my address. That all goes with out saying, as you all may get the same harrassment or critics saying what you can or cannot print under google banner.

Doing things together

I had my young visitor back, Josie. We did some beading this afternoon, all fun until sister came home from her school, first year, Prep. and wanted to take it off her.

As I do not have a picture of our beads, I have included a picture in orange & red.

No time to Sew with Guests in House

The Week is at an End

Little Darling, Three year old, grandaughter, knew no different, stripped my lemon tree of it's near ripe lemons,and used for tennis balls or similar.

Taken all year to nurture these two citrus trees. Cannot post childrens pictures on the internet, but there is no limit on how many plants, trees, flowers and herbs I show here.

Mend Mr Common Sense

Date: 2007-01-19 19:54:00.0
Subject Common Sense... gone but not forgotten!
Body: Body: Remarkable Obituary

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend,
Mr. Common Sense.
Mr. Sense had been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old
he was since his birth records were long ago
lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated
such value lessons as knowing
when to come in out of the rain,
why the early bird gets the worm and
that life isn't always fair.
Common Sense lived by simple,
sound financial policies
(don't spend more than you earn)
and reliable Parenting strategies
(adults, not kids, are in charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate
when well intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a six-year-old
boy charged with sexual harassment
for kissing a classmate;
teens suspended from school for using
mouthwash after lunch;
and a teacher fired for reprimanding an
unruly student,
only worsened his condition.

Mr Sense declined even further when
schools were required to get parental consent
to administer aspirin to a student;
but, could not inform the parents when a student
became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live
as the Ten Commandments became contraband;
churches became businesses;
and criminals received better treatment
than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost
after a woman failed to realize that a
steaming cup of coffee was hot,>
she spilled a bit in her lap,
and was awarded a huge financial settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust,
his wife, Discretion;
his daughter, Responsibility;
and his son, Reason.

He is survived by two stepbrothers;
My Rights and Ima Whiner.
Not many attended his funeral because
so few realized he was gone.

If you still remember him,
pass this on;
if not, join the majority and do nothing.

Latest Sewing Projects

First I mended grandaughter's pyjama elastic followed by a new pair of pants, using the original ones as pattern. Rummage through my craft books I found a tracable pattern for pj's up to age 6 for either boy or girl. Then the project evolved to pair, ie.top and bottom. Next move was 2 large cushion covers, result they are too large, so more alterations or stitching needed.

Now I have cut out pj's for her older brother, shorts for myself, and ideas for the cousins in the pipeline.

What Have I Been Doing

Spent a few days with my daughter and family, before Christmas. Two of my sons visited with their respectful familys over the Christmas break.

Took this picture after a few attempts, self portraits just never look very flattering, but hardly ugly, or I would not be publishing it. Here I am on internet again, wonder if third son has been trying to ring me.

Some crank woman called last night in an attempt to unnerve me, as she could not get my name right after three attempts, as is someone was prompting her in the background. Have to spell it for her next time, A M I E... G R E E N, and NO!
YOU WON'T FIND ME IN THE PHONE BOOK as I am know by something else entirely..

Absent for Months

I have been unable to blog as I either put in wrong passport or just could not access the site. With the new google offer, things go astray with the transfer, now I find my original 'amie' is still on the web and available to my computer as I never logged in manually.
